Creation of a brand position and brand identity that helps tell the story of making memories in the great outdoors.
The Need
As a start-up, Catch a Memory was in need of a full brand from scratch. This included some brand positioning work as well as a full brand identity.
The Goals
Our goals were to create a brand that engaged "outdoorsy" people who didn't know they were "outdoorsy" people yet and to communicate how important engaging in nature is in creating lasting memories.
The Solution
We tapped into the history of classic outdoor brands in terms of color and execution in order to quickly communicate what Catch a Memory is all about. With bold color and typography, we have created an inviting brand that is approachable for the novice outdoors enthusiast. "LEARN. EXPLORE.REMEMBER." is intended to quickly communicate the call to action that Catch a Memory stands for.
The Takeaway
When creating a brand that involves education or instruction, make sure you make it fun and approachable. Especially in the world of outdoor recreation, it's easy to not know where to start or to be intimidated by all of the gear that's out there.
